Consume < Create < Promote

If you’re a Digital Creator or Entrepreneur, then you’ve got to…

Create more than you Consume, and…

Promote - as much as, if not more - than you Create.

Check out the video and 2 podcast episodes I published about this topic.

Don’t Write a Best-Selling Book (Do This Instead)

Kindle Book-Writing Tips From a 6-Time Author (Me!) - Part 2

I see a lot of people posting their New Year’s resolutions on social media. A lot of them are like…

“My goal is to read 100 books in 2020”. Or “1 book a day/week”, etc.

I also saw someone tweet that they’re going to watch the top 100 movies of all time this year, so they can say that they’ve watched the best of the best.

Those are all great goals and resolutions - to read more books, listen to more podcasts, relax and enjoy the holidays and some down time watching some of the best movies ever made etc.

But ALL of those are focusing on one thing (IMO not the best thing):

And that is CONSUMING… instead of CREATING.

So if you are an entrepreneur or digital creator, I created a video and 2 audio episodes with my thoughts on how you can take that to the next level.

If you are passionate about making a difference, just as I am, in the limited time we have in this world, then you already know that most of us are consuming quite a bit of content already, so why not try creating?

And if you’re a YouTuber or Podcaster who is already creating a whole bunch of of episodes already, then don’t create more, but instead, try PROMOTING them more.

Instead of saying you’re going to read 100 books, or 10 books, how how a resolution to WRITE just 1 book this month?

How about a resolution that you’re going to create more content for your members - even if they’re not currently paying you? Maybe create an awesome video for anyone who has ever paid you in the past.

Maybe even create some awesome premium content - whether it’s a Kindle book, or an audiobook, or a private video - and give it away to your email list.

And whatever free content you create, always have a meaningful call to action, because after people watch your video, tell them what else you’ve got, and where they can get that.

I have embedded 2 audios and a video (my first-ever recorded while driving a car!) above that will help you re-focus on creating and promoting, rather than consuming.

Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments below.

PS: I get the irony, but if you were to read just 1 book this year, check out my Kindle book Krush It With Kindle, where I show you how to write an epic 30-50 page book really, really quickly. I wrote this book in about 10 hours. Even if you don’t write your next book in 10 hours, imagine if you could write and publish a brand new book in 10 days?

PPS: Time to stop wanting to read a 100 books… and write your own 1st book.
